Clean it until it sparkles! Look around your home and find a nice artwork with a clean white matt and chrome frame if your can or a happy colorful picture or poster put this opposite the bathroom mirror and you will double your color throughout the room! Sort through your towels and arrange them dark on the background to lighter on top layer them on the towel bar. Hide all toothbrushes and icky bars of soap. Leave out only colorful or beautiful items. Leave the floor uncovered. Voila!
Hi,
Well a good bit of what we call elbow grease and maybe you could do is re grout between the tiles and change the light bulb, knock on your next door neighbors door and ask if they have any half empty tins of paint or bathroom items they may haven’t used.
If your expecting visitors tomorrow? let me tell you that a clean crisp smell and tidy bathroom is far better than a filthy luxurious high priced bathroom that the maid usually cleans.
Don’t get hung up about it please, it really isn’t worth it. Rick x
Here are a few ideas. Pick one or two to fit your budget:
- Make sure it super clean and smells great
- Light a pretty candle
- Put out some cute soaps in nice soap dish
- Clean off all the clutter from the counter
- Add some fresh flowers in a vase
- Create an attractive “spa” basket with rolled towels, soaps, bubble bath and the like
I’ve been in the same boat. I went to the dollar store and got a soap dish and toothbrush holder that matched my two best towels, and a roll of wallpaper border that I cut out the main designs from and put them on the wall.
You could do some really cute texture painting on top of the white painted walls. Go to the hardware store and get some left over paint…in a decent color of course. Usually you can get these for as little as 3 or 4 dollars, you dont even need a whole gallon….depending on the size of the batrhoom. Use a paint pan, and pour a LITTLE paint in it…. Then get a few old plastic grocery bags. crinkle them up and tie them with rubber bands fairly tight so lots of the bag sticks out, but very little rubber band. Dip it lightly in the paint and remove excess paint so it doesnt drip, and press it onto the walls. Try not to go over the same spot too many times, and let a little of the white wall show through. Makes it look like a marbled effect, and is quite sophisticated. In most cases, depending on the color it usually makes the space look larger too!
You better sing the blues.
Go to a store like bjs or somethin and maybe find a towel set that reflects the season
Clean it to shine and put a vase of fabric flowers in it.
pray

Get a small plant that likes humidity like a pretty fern.
